I woke up the next morning alone in bed. I touched Bernardo’s side of the bed and realized that he had been up for a while now. I sat up and looked around the room.

“Cons of fucking the king. No morning kisses or sex. He has to be up early for royal business.”

I let out and passed my fingers through my messy hair. We stayed up late last night. I enjoyed every moment with Bernardo and even though he wasn’t in bed with me right now, my body was still feeling his presence.

“You have a busy day today,”

My wolf reminded me. She was especially happy today. I smiled when I remembered that I had to go shopping with Sophie and Ava. It would be the first time meeting Ava since the last time. I wasn’t a petty person but I wanted to see her face and know if she would lie about spending time with Bernardo like she used to.

“Can’t believe we fell for her lies and you even cried about it,”

My wolf mocked me.

“I didn’t cry,”
