A new job offer.

That same night, just a few minutes past midnight, a strange man wearing a hoodie walked up to the entrance of the Fairland Club.

The bouncer who tood at the entrance cocked a brow at the man whose face he didn’t see. Why would someone be coming into the club at this time? It was already near closing time, and even regular clubgoers were slowly emptying out of the club.

“Whaddaya want?” He asked the hooded man in a gruff voice. He idly noticed the man was tall, just as tall as he was. “What’s your name?”

“I’m looking for someone.” The hooded stranger’s voice was a decidedly British lilt. “The man left the club with this woman. Tell me if you recognize her.” He fished out a picture within a split second and showed the bouncer.

The bouncer pressed both lips together, his eyes narrowed onto the girl’s face.

Seconds later, he stated. “Don’t know her. She pretty though. What, is she your girl?”

“She’s dead.” The man stated. The bouncer grunted.
