Chapter 12 :Ask the Head Chef to Do It Again

Wendy looked at the marriage agreement in shock. Rex's eyes darkened, and a trace of impatience flashed through his eyes. "Don't let me talk nonsense anymore. You should know my ability."

Yes, she knew his capabilities very well.

No one dared to go against his words in Jena City.

"……Why did you come to me?" Wendy asked, unwilling to give up.

"I should be the one saying that." Rex snorted. His tall body leaned forward, and his breath heated up. "You are in my bed first."

Wendy's hands, hanging at her sides, could not help but tremble as she gritted her teeth.

Rex kindly reminded her, "There is a limit to my patience."

Wendy lowered her gaze. Did she have any other choice?

The answer was no.

Wendy signed the contract neatly. She didn't even have time to look at the terms inside carefully.

After signing the contract, she stood up and handed it to Rex. She lowered her head and said meekly, "Mr. Gavyn, are you satisfied now?"

Rex raised his eyebrows and sized Wendy up from head to toe coldly. "Don't wear such seductive clothes next time, or-I'll think you're seducing me."

Wendy's face turned red. She quickly put down the document and said, "It's too late. I'm going to sleep!"

Looking at her retreating like that, Rex smiled.

Curling up on a large black bed that was filled with the smell of a man, Wendy's heart thumped loudly.

Just now, Rex had kissed her!

She wrapped herself in the quilt, tossed, and turned, unable to fall asleep. She couldn't sleep even more when she thought Rex had been on this bed.

Wendy did not know what time it was before she fell asleep.

The butler knocked on the door early the following day and delivered the clothes. Wendy watched the butler instruct servants to bring up the boxes of clothes. Then, they hung these clothes in the wardrobe one by one.

Wendy wrapped herself in a blanket and came out of the bathroom. She was only wearing a shirt of Rex's. Seeing this, the butler hurriedly drove everyone away.

He looked away with a red face and said, "Mrs. Gavyn, I've arranged everything for you. You can come down and eat when you're ready."

Seeing this, Wendy realized that what she was wearing was an eyesore. She hid in the bathroom and said gloomily, "I see!"

After the butler left, Wendy poked her head out. When she opened the wardrobe and saw that it was neatly decorated with all kinds of women's latest clothes, she was shocked.

At the end, when Wendy thought of Rex's strength, she calmed down and couldn't help cursing in her heart, "Rich people are indeed corrupt."

When Wendy picked out a ginger-yellow dress printed with daisies and went downstairs, she saw Rex sitting elegantly in the dining room.

"Hello, Mrs. Gavyn."

The servants greeted Wendy in unison, giving her a fright. She calmed herself down and said, "Hello!"

Rex frowned and looked at her with eagle-like sharp eyes. "Sit down and eat."

Wendy did not dare to do anything else. The butler hurriedly pulled out a chair for her and ordered someone to bring her bowls and chopsticks.

She sat down cautiously and looked at the sumptuous food on the table, but she had no appetite.

"Why aren't you eating? Is this not to your liking?" Rex put down his silver chopsticks.

Wendy raised her head to look at him.

He was dressed in a handmade black suit. His inborn noble temperament and cold demeanor made no one dare to approach him.

Rex slowly put down his silver chopsticks because she didn't speak. "Uncle John, ask the head chef to cook again."
