Chapter 50: Maybe I'm the Ghost

Early in the morning, Wendy opened her eyes and the sunlight came into the room through the window, alighting on Wendy’s hair.

Wendy entered the bathroom. When she saw her bandaged forehead in the mirror, she immediately sobered up.

Wendy walked downstairs. When she saw Uncle John, who was busy in the living room, she was greeted by him and asked, "Mrs. Gavyn, how are you? Did you feel better?"

"Forehead?" Wendy touched her forehead. Uncle John explained, "When I got up and went to the bathroom last night, I saw that the light was still on in the study, so I went in to have a look. I saw the wound on your forehead, so I wrapped it up for you."

"Oh, I…… I accidentally fell down yesterday." Wendy smiled awkwardly and quickly left the kitchen.

Wendy sat at the dining table and saw Rex going downstairs. She quickly lowered her head. Rex said to the kitchen, "Uncle John, I have something to do. I won't be having breakfast."

"Sure."
