Chapter 8

Isabella POV

Get ready Isabella, you have 5 minutes," Dan ordered.

Okay, Dan, you win, I will take her place. Don't just allow Isabella to dance for the Draco," Mia said.

No... I want Isabella to do it," Dan said with a smirk on his face.

But..." Mia tried to protest but Dan didn't give her a chance as he walked out of the room immediately.

Look at me, Isa..." Mia forced me to look at her, saying

I hate what Dan is doing to you, but it looks like you don't have a choice.

Listen to me... When you get there, try your best to avoid any eye contact with the Draco.

Just dance and leave..." Mia let out with so much emphasis

“What is going on? I'm confused," I finally got the chance to let those words out

Oh my dear Isa, I'm so sorry this had to be your first debut here, because, girl, you are walking into the lion's den," Mia let out with a worried look on her face.

Lion's Den..." I asked, even more confused.

Who is this Draco?" I asked Mia with a racing heart.

ooh sweetie... you don't want to know, just get ready, I would help you pick a dress and do your makeup," Mia said as she breathed out heavily.

Nodding my head nervously, I sat down for Mia to do my makeup, but my heart was still racing beyond control and my head was filled with so many unwanted thoughts.

Soon after, Mia was done with my makeup and I wore the dress that she had chosen for me.

Mia curled my hair into a deep curly and finally put some finishing touches on my lips.

“There... you are done," she smiled, looking at me, but I knew deep down she was worried about something even though she tried so hard to hide it, it was there and that only made me even more concerned.

“Who was I going to dance for," that question was the only thing on my mind.

“Here..." Mia handed me a red mask.

“What is this for? I asked confused

Mia looked at me for a while as I could see her taking in a deep breath. She soon moved closer to me, whispering into my ear.

“No one dances for the Draco without a red mask on," she said.

What... Why," I asked nervously.

Mia, I don't feel like doing this anymore," I let out, shivering at the mere thought of dancing for this mysterious with

Isabella... I hate this and, well, I would take your place if I could, but you can't say no to Dan if you still want to keep this job," Mia said with a downcast look on her face.

Taking in a deep breath, I knew she was right, this was the only source of income I had and I couldn't lose it.

Okay," I nodded, taking in a deep breath

Before Mia could say another word, Dan walked in.

Isabella, it's time, no one keeps the Draco waiting," Dan said towards us.

Isa... it's going to be alright okay, just dance and leave," Mia said and I nodded.

And remember to avoid any eye contact with the Draco," she said, giving me an approving nod.

Closing my eyes, I took in a deep breath as I put on the red mask.

“ That is it."

My First Debut

......................................................

I walked slowly into the dimmed-lit room, my legs were shaking, my heart was racing and my hands were sweating profusely as if I had just sucked them into a big bowl of water.

I could see next to nothing in this room, as the light barely covered the room.

But amid the darkness I noticed a figure seated over there on the couch,

Could that be the Draco," I asked myself as I walked nervously over to the pole.

Begin," I soon heard a deep hoarse voice say, that made me jump back immediately in fright from where I stood.

Taking in a deep breath, I mentally prepared myself for what was to come.

“Just dance and leave, and most especially avoid eye contact," I remembered Mia's words.

Nodding, signalling for the song to come on

I moved even closer to the pole, claiming it as if it was my own, as I started moving slowly to the beat of the song.

Moving my hips from side to side, the music envelopes me as I take control of that pole, owning every bit of it.

The movement came effortlessly to me as the music feeded deep into my soul. I was so engrossed in the feeling of the firm steel in my hands and how my body knew which step to take without even realising it.

Even in my engrossed feeling of euphoria, I still felt an intense gaze on me and soon enough the lights came on, brightening the room for an instant.

And then I saw him...

Sugar-white hair, perfectly chiselled face, well-defined beards, enormously structured torso, muscular arms that were popping out of a shirt and strangely red eyes just like a flaming fire.

He was all the definition of mystery and intrigue.

My heart skipped a beat seeing those eyes of his, they were so different and so compelling, they were like hell itself and they held something I couldn't, just couldn't relay in words.

Lost in the red sea that was his eyes, I instantly remembered Mia's words and I immediately broke eye contact with him as I continued dancing.

I danced until the music went off, signalling that my time here was over.

Breathing out a sigh of relief, I turned as I was about to walk out of the door, but that was when his voice stopped me in my tracks.

“You are not my usual dancer," he said to me as he walked up to me.

And god... this man's height was that of a Greek god, as you see on the internet.

“I'm filling in for Bambi," I murmured nervously as my eyes were trailing down onto the floor as I tried to avoid eye contact with him.

Hmmm," He let out a curious sigh as I could see his feet walking around me as if he was examining me.

Then tell me...

Who are you," he asked in the most authoritative voice I have ever heard as he lifted my face to look at him.
