Chapter 32: Obsessed

Jovie’s POV

“Reno?” I called, running into the bathroom. He wasn’t there.

Oh no, he left. He went to a casino! He’s losing all the money we just got. He was going to be dead because there would be no more money to pay Vigo with. He was going to be killed! I was actually going to lose him!

I’d have to go back to New York. Or maybe I could go stay with Mom while being depressed for the rest of my natural born life because the one man I loved even more than myself was gone. My world would be crushed. I’d have nothing to live for. My one true love would be gone.

I would never get married or have kids or grow old with someone I loved. My life was over.

“Jovie?” I turned and saw Reno standing there.

“Reno!” I ran over and jumped on him. 

He lost his balance and luckily fell on the bed with me on top of him. “Hey, babe. What’s wrong?”

I kissed him
