Chapter 38: Back to LA

Reno’s POV

I wrestled with myself for two weeks.  

Should I actually go back to LA to hear what Xavier had to say or was this a trick? Vigo said the Wimberlys were out for blood. This could be a trap and the police would be waiting for me?

Xavier did sound extremely concerned for Jovie though. He also kept calling and texting. 

“He’s playing you, man.” Elias shook his head. “They’re gonna lock you up the moment you step out of the airport.”

“I don’t know, something doesn’t feel right,” I sighed. “Maybe Jovie really is in trouble?”

“Or maybe she and her family want you behind bars?&rd
