Chapter 33

"Mrs. Warren?"

The nurse called. I was waiting at the bench outside the clinic when she asked for my name. It was Hunter and Hugo's choice to change my surname and I'm getting used to it.

"I'm here," I said in a weak voice, getting shy since it took everyone's attention.

"You'll come next, ma'am. Please wait for a moment." She smiled at me lovingly before entering the clinic once again.

Good then! I've been waiting here for almost an hour. I didn't know that's how it works in the province, I literally have to wait in line just to get a check-up. My parents would usually set me up for an appointment so I didn't have to wait.

"Are you alright?" Hugo asked beside me, squeezing my hands gently because I was getting pouty for waiting too long.

"Yeah," I look at the other pregnant woman. All of them are in line. Some are with their husbands and some are with their parents or siblings.
