I heaved a sigh of relief when Max held my hand and let me into his house.

I had taken a crazy gamble and put my pride aside just for a chance to get my babies back.

When I had walked out of Max's office, I had desperately hoped that he would come after me. A part of me was scared that he wouldn't, especially since he had an endless supply of women. He could always call one of them after I left and they would continue from where I left off.

However, he came after me and now, he was taking me into his house.

Once we went in through the door, I pulled my hand from his grasp, "I will go to your bedroom only after hugging my children. I would be too distracted otherwise."

"Alright." He agreed without an argument and walked away. I adjusted my jacket, covering my body properly in preparation to meet my children.
