Realizing Max had blocked me from reaching my children, my heart burned with anger.

I knew they were miserable without me, yet Max did not seem to care about that. It only reinforced my belief that he could never make a good father.

I could not let my children grow around a man who considered revenge to be more important than their happiness.

I carefully planned out what I was going to do. It wouldn't be so hard since I was unfortunately attracted to Max. All I had to do was hide my anger toward him and work hard to get him in the palm of my hands. Once I had achieved that, I would teach him a good lesson.

It was incredibly difficult for me to get any sleep that night. I kept dreaming about my children each time I closed my eyes. In my dreams, they were all abandoned in a desert, crying out for me to save them.

When I could not take it anymore, I broke down in tears. It was the longest night of my life and I kept looking at the time, hoping for morning to arrive.
