Chapter 39 Repeated her exact words

A completed hotel was situated in the east side of the city. Oswald was standing in front of the hotel with a look of scrutiny in his eyes. As if remembering something, he looked in the way of Rod who was beside him and said to him,

Invite Elsie here, tell her to be here in an hour as we can’t spend too much time here.

Rod watched him with confusion on his face, Oswald saw this and explained to him,

I want her to be part of this project. I think she has good judgement and can help us in acquiring and making this place great.

Rod didn’t understand the reason his boss would explain himself to him, and so he thought,

Why do I feel this isn’t the only reason? Why else would he explain himself to me? He wouldn’t do that before no matter how much I misunderstood him.

He nodded his head and called Elsie’s office and relayed the message. He told Oswald that he had done as instructed and he nodded and said well done to him, to Rod’s surprise.
