Truth unfolding

“I am at the restaurant.” She said as she got closer to the restaurant, but stayed outside.

“Do not lie to me, Ivy!” Bethany shouted in anger, over the phone.

Ivy was taken aback and didn’t know what else to say. She didn’t know how much Bethany knew, and was scared to prolong the lie, but she felt she had to take a chance, and know the outcome.

“But I am the restaurant.” She said, trying to avoid her voice, shaking in fear.

“What kind of chef, answer calls in the kitchen, Ivy? Or do you think I don’t know that you have been on a call before mine, and come to think of it, the call lasted for a long while. You are not that type of chef to answer calls, and keep them for long in the kitchen, when you ought to be cooking, and making sure that the breakfast is okay. So, tell me. Where are you?” Bethany asked again.
