I FELL to the ground when Matias hit me on the shoulder with the hilt of his sword. I immediately got a hold of the part when I felt the pain radiating through my upper left chest now.

I glared at him because of that strong attack of his. He just grinned at me and lent me his hand to help me stand on my feet again but I refused it and stood on my own.

"You feel a little distracted today, Aliara. Where did your mind drift to?" he said that made me peer at him.
