Creepers

We close by five pm everyday at the studio, I usually stay up till six or seven when I was single and without a child. Now as soon as the time hits five I begin to clear out my table.

“Denise?” It sounds more like a question. I raise my head to Lily. She is without Ivy.

“Erhm.. Your husband is here”. She says. She is shy for reasons I do not know. I contorted my face not expecting that.

“Erh- Thank you?” She's barely out when Gregory matches in with a sleeping Ivy in his arms. “Hey babe”. He walks over to me giving me a kiss on the cheek. Surely this is for show.

“Hey” I whisper. Surely my colleagues will be listening to our conversation after the massive flowers he sent today. “Why are you here?” I continue to whisper.

“Isn't it obvious? I came to pick you up, I dropped you off”. He also whispers, he wouldn't risk showing outsiders that we aren't a lovey dovey couple.

He picks up my already packed bag stepping aside so I can walk in front of him just how a perfect gentle man would
