COMBAT DAY

AN HOUR BEFORE THE FIGHT

ARTHUR'S POV

I stood behind the window and starred out. I had watched Maya train deep into the night. I could never let Eleanor face her in a combat. She would kill her with a fling of her sword. Even if Eleanor hd trained all the hours for the past five days, she would never match her energy and skills. It is very obvious to me whoever has sent her had the intentions of killing Eleanor.

I waited impatiently for Jeremy. Today, he will get to the root and reveal to me who Maya has been seeing and working with.

But I already made my decision. Whatever the outcome of his mission, I will not be letting Eleanor take part in this fight.

What on earth was keeping Jeremy late…I must hurry now to hide Eleanor before the time for the combat reach.

Jeremy entered moments later.

I turned away from the window to meet him halfway into the room.

"Did you find out anything?"

We were in my room alone. I had made sure to ask him where no one else would hear.
