Chapter 39

The familiar voice was that of Arturo, Sasha was smart as she quickly hid the letter in her back pocket bowing her head to him. I told him it was nothing and I am on my way out.

He asks me to hold on, asking me how I know about the greenhouse because he did not remember bringing me here and besides I am no longer his mate so how did the greenhouse open.

I told him that the question can only be answered by the greenhouse. I lied to him that my friend and I were about to go for a run and when we got here, the greenhouse opened.

Arturo scrutinized Sasha from her head to her now then he sniffed her scent and said to me she is not from his pack that he remembered vividly he asked me to leave his pack or did I disobey his order.

I told him that Sasha was my friend from my father's pack and I did not in any way disobey his order. I say to him you must not repeatedly talk about not being your mate before going directly to the point.

"Are you challenging me in any way?" Arturo asks
