“Why are we going back?” Mason asks as we walk back. We have come a long way from that alley, but until now, Mason had been silent.

I don’t know how to answer him because I am not sure either, but one look at Alpha Azriel’s stunned face, and then a glance at the Healer’s face made me decide that it wasn’t a good idea for us to stay.

Honestly, my heart had filled with warmth when I had felt his presence, and of course when he had made his presence known. I loved the fact that his care and probably envy surfaced and showed so blatantly.
