Carter stared at Caroline who stared a right back, breathing heavily.
Suddenly she maneuvered skillfully past his grasp and stormed off but before she could even reach the door of his office the door burst open and Shayne rushed looking frantic.
He didn’t even look at Caroline whose nose he nearly smashed with his abrupt move and walked past her.
Caroline straightened up staring at Shayne with the similar disappointment with which she was looking at him but Carter didn't pay attention to her enraged expression when he noticed Shayne dashing inside and quickly rushed towards him.
