“What no?” I snapped immediately Kylian asked me if that was a chip on me. I was scared to my teeth. What if he finds out it was truly a chip? Would he kill me? And the fact that I was powerless made me want to pee in my pants. Thankfully, I was strapped with protection, and I was sure I wasn’t going to die, except he aimed for my head, of course.

Before I could register what was going on in my mind, a deafening slap sounded across my cheeks, which made me stagger to the point where I almost fell.

Kylian walked close to me again and pinned me in such a way that I couldn’t move. He immediately trashed the chip, and it stopped working. Oh, moon goddess, I was dead meat. I couldn’t even alert anyone.

“You bitch,” he said as he slapped me hard across the face again, and this time a little blood spilled from my mouth.

“You want to play with fire, huh? I asked you not to show up here and try to play a fast one on me, but you still went ahead. Were you thinking I wouldn’t find out?”
