Unable to take in the sight before him, Damon walked away with a stoic expression. Salvatore who was approaching him with two imperial letters moved back at the sight of the look in his face. He wondered what went wrong with the King.

Salvador's face took on a look of sheer horror when he saw Daisy barefooted. "Oh My goodness! You are going to catch cold in your feet! Just wait here while I will get your sandals!"

Before Daisy could say anything, Salvador rushed into the small room he had saw her come out from and searched the nook and cranies until his eyes pinned the sandals on the other side of the old mattress.

He got them. He walked out of the room again to where Daisy was standing and bent before her. He picked up the first sandal, "Here"

Daisy allowed Salvador to raise her leg and fit the sandals on each of them. He patted her feet after he was done. Tears burned Daisy's eyes but she blinked them back. "Thank you so much Salvador for your care and affections but sadly, s
