Chapter 53

Meridith was neverous. She wanted Damon to sit on his chair but instead, he remained on his feet. He dug the feather into the ink and withdrew it. He started scribbling on the scroll before him. The silence was defeaning.

Meridith was becoming more agitated as the time dragged by.

Finally, Damon pulled out his chair and sat. Meridith breathed in relief. She just needs to wait for at least twenty four hours and her spell will start taking effects, "What were you asking me, Meridith?" He asked, without glancing at her.

"It just baffles me, Alpha. Why you should let your slave into the Royal Quarters.... into the Princess's bedroom and the slave happens to be Alexandra's daughter"

"I didn't move Daisy to that bedroom. I moved Izzy " Damon reached out for another scroll and unfolded it. He laid it down on the table and scrutinized it thoughtfully.

"Izzy? What has that gone to do with the crazy little girl?" Meridith asked herself inwardly.

He spared her a glance, "Have you seen Izzy
