Aurora:

I woke up to fingers running through my hair.

My eyes fluttered open and I couldn’t help but frown when I noticed that I was inside a bedroom, and not mine.

Dante, who was actually running his fingers through my hair, sat on a chair beside me, looking at me, studying my expression.

“Hey” he whispered, his tone softer than it had ever been.

“Hi” I said, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I frowned at the headache that I got, and closing my eyes again, I tried to soothe the pain in my temple as I rubbed it slowly “how long have I been asleep?”

“It’s around seven at night, but don’t worry, there wasn’t much to be done anyway” he said gently. I sat up, frowning when I realized that he let me sleep throughout the whole working day; however, he didn’t seem to be annoyed by that.

“Dante, I could have helped you get the things done…”
