Chapter 45
Olivia was right, I hated this plan. It wasn’t a plan at all. We found a way onto the rooftop before the meeting started. Basically her plan was to try and find a place to hide while the meeting was happening. While she might be able to fit in several places, I was less likely since I had to duck out of the elevator.
“No trees, no real grass, all fake plants. What the hell? You live on the biggest ley line and you can’t afford some real fucking plants?”
I chuckled at Olivia. “I don’t think it’s the plants that are the problem. It’s the upkeep.”
“There is no fucking upkeep! You’re on the roof! The ley line will feed them and the rain will water them!” She huffed as she walked around the kitchen. “There is literally no space here. Maybe we could disguise ourselves as waiters?”

My eyes shut, finally unable to keep them open. Leaning back in the hospital chair, my hand was holding Olivia’s still. I refused to let her go. I told her I wouldn’t and I refused. Even Aamon came forward to growl at anyone who suggested it. He even offered to take over for a while for me to get some rest but right now it was our body, not my mind, that was finally giving out. Waking up in my mates arms was something I never thought I would experience. This morning though, having her curled up against me. Her hair splayed out my arm and her breath brushing my skin. ***Olivia’s POV***It was fucking chaos. Nasir has heard them coming first. I knew the south side was getting hit with an attack. Kit and Frank headed up the north end security and would come by every so often to keep me updated. This was the first time we had been hit on two fronts. I guessed they were trying to move the forces around, hitting the south and then coming in from the north with the actual warriors.
