Lea:

I walked around the pack, ignoring the pain that I felt in my chest.

The anger that I felt was one that I couldn’t describe, and I knew that it was something that anyone who looked at me saw in my eyes.

I was broken inside, and I didn’t know how I was going to be dealing with things now that the Alpha practically rejected me without a rejection. He only proved to me that he didn’t feel the mating bond, and that fact alone was enough to tear me inside.

“Something seems to be bothering you,” Renata said, angering me more than I already was.
