Athena’s POV
Everyone gathered, stripping their clothes, to prepare for the shift. A run, to symbolize the union of a pack, was performed after any mating or leader ceremony. The excitement of everyone around us filled the air—the buzz of their energy prickling my skin. Phoenix excitement mixed with mine, the adrenaline from the bond is completed, coursing through our veins. Erik and I shifted first, the rest following.
