My eyes were frozen to the ceiling the whole night. I stopped calling Jay. Because somewhere I knew he was doing something and I shouldn't interrupt him. My inner voice was screaming at me. However, I couldn't forget what he told me. He asked me to choose. He asked me to make a decision. Was he serious about it? Was there any reason behind his saying that? I wish we could mindlink with each other. I always wanted that connection with my mate. But his identity couldn't build the link between us.
I closed my eye shut to rest my sanity for a while. Just then the doorbell rang. My entire body was tired, still, I pushed myself to get down.
Someone was pressing the doorbell harder. For a moment, I thought it to be Jay and rushed downstairs hurriedly. The doorbell was being pressed repeatedly until I opened the door.
