Every word Alice delivered to us sent little jolts of pain through me knowing how right she is, but how can I choose between what they want? I can’t.
“Hey,” I flashed, pressing my forehead to hers, “we can’t have an eruption within twenty-four hours, little volcano.” No one wanted an actual Alice eruption, last time she almost killed someone and it took mom deep-diving while my dad's all held her down to knock her out of it.
