"That witch!" He rumbled coldly kicking the huge stone causing it to splash into the water.

It was because of her he had to take a cab from the hospital earlier. And that bloody driver dropped him on the highway, saying he can't go any further. There were no f*cking signals. He had to walk on his feet for a while before swallowing down his pride and asking for a ride from someone. The man who felt humiliated sitting in a mere cab had to ask for a lift. Such a shame. His Mustang must be very disappointed in him. It was all because of that hazel-eyed witch. He couldn't even shift in that area because of the wolf hunters in the woods.

He would've taught her a proper lesson. But where the hell did she disappear to? He saw golden glittery rims of the portal in the depth of the pond. This portal magic of hers was riling him to a great extent.

Why was she crying and playing that innocent card of hers? Did she think she could fool him like everyone else? That was very stupid of her.

Walking back into the cottage he glared at everything that was in sight from the table to the walls. He was scowling.

It seemed like Agatha hadn't returned yet. Hunter couldn't leave Silvia on her own. At first, Hunter didn't want to take Silvia to save Draken but after hearing Aurora's trembling voice on the phone he had no choice but to take her and now Silvia had some information on Draken.

Hunter was sure she would contact Alonso to inform him about this all. That was why he didn't want to take her to the hospital but he had no choice.

His phone blared through the silence as he answered the call. "Where are you?" It was Rasmus.

"I'm at Agatha's place," He replied grumpily.

"How did you know about that place?" Rasmus asked after a long pause.

"I figured," Hunter responded plainly.

"Where's Silvia?" There was an edge in Rasmus' voice as Hunter gnashed his molars.

"We are having a chitchat," Hunter said coolly.

"Let me talk to her," Rasmus responded with equal ease.

Hunter closed his eyes in irritation. His brother knows him way too deeply.

"She's not here and before you start lecturing me. She opened a damned portal and disappeared on me," He grounded, annoyed.

"What the f*ck did you do?" Rasmus hissed.

Hunter hated this. The blind trust of his family in that witch.

"Nothing. I just came to have a civilized talk but she decided to ghost me," Hunter said calmly.

"You think I'll believe that?" Rasmus muttered.

"You're too trusting brother and I'm not," Hunter said sharply.

"But you have no problem with Reid and Clarke," Rasmus countered.

"Did you forget I had a conversation with her alone? She was lying at that time." Hunter said.

"You scared her, Hunter," Rasmus grumbled.

Past...

Hunter opened the door for her like a gentleman which he wasn't in reality. He loves interrogations the most.

The petite hazel-eyed girl stepped inside as he closed the door behind her, locking it deliberately, earning a flinch from her.

"Relax, I won't hurt you," He said walking further inside the room.

He was lying. He could and would hurt her if she was a threat to his pack.

Silvia stood there on the same spot not stepping further inside as she shifted her weight from one foot to another. Her eyes fixated on the floor as if it was the most entertaining thing ever.

Hunter watched her for a good few minutes. She was small, barely 5'6 tall. So she appeared tiny in front of him, who stood at 6'2.

First things first. She was beautiful without a doubt. Her caramel dusty skin glowed and she had big doe-like hazel eyes. Plump juicy lips, heart-shaped face. Dark black silky locks that reached her waist. They were as straight as an arrow. His eyes fleeted down and he noticed the baggy clothes.

She looked up when he didn't say anything for a while and their gaze clashed. Cold jade hues peered into warm hazels.

"What's your name?" He questioned.

"Silvia," He waited for her to continue. She swallowed. "Silvia Macklin," She whispered.

"How old are you?" Hunter asked.

"18," Was her short reply.

She was the same age as Aurora.

"I'll ask you a few questions. I hope you'll answer them truthfully. I'm not heartless to honest people, but to liars; I'm savagely cruel," He said calmly but the threat of his words sliced through the air as she stiffened, lowering her gaze and giving a nod.

She was so uncomfortable in this library, the door was locked and his daunting presence was so very intimidating.

"Tell me about yourself, your birthplace, your parents, siblings, everything." He said removing his jacket as he draped it on the couch facing her.

"I was born in the night Walker pack. My m...mother was a witch who died after birthing me. My father was a wizard who took care of me. When I turned 7 he was killed by rogues while protecting me. Alpha Alonso took me into the pack house. My father used to work as his advisor so Alonso took me in and raised me so I could be his weapon. I don't have any siblings," She said in a monotonous tone.

"Was Alonso kind to you?" He asked.

"No," She mumbled in a small voice.

"It's rare to have a wizard father and a witch mom. You must be very powerful," Hunter commented but she stayed quiet on that.

He tilted his head observing her. She seemed timid. For now, she hasn't given anything away, If he scares her just a bit.

Hunter prowled towards her. Her head shot up, she threw him a panic-stricken gape.

"W... What are you-" Her breath hitched; when her back touched the door and she stiffened turning half around to open the door but he was on her the very next second as he grabbed her arm and jerked her around.

"I told you not to lie to me!" He thundered, squeezing her arm roughly and her wide eyes stared at him shocked to the bones.

Hunter watched the changing expressions on her face. He deliberately used this tactic. If she wasn't lying she would simply say it but if she seemed shocked, she lied.

His eyes flashed as his lips formed into a sinister smirk.

"So you did lie to me, Silvia," He rasped.
