Kate POV
As I run through all the scenarios in my mind, remembering all the training that I had been through over the years, I tried to consider every situation that might present itself. I was likely going to drive myself crazy, but I would only have one chance. I knew if I won, I wouldn’t be permitted to leave. So, my only option was to kill Caleb when the opportunity presented itself.
I wasn’t naïve; this wasn’t going to be an easy fight. It would be a fight to the bitter end. Caleb wasn’t going to go easy on me either. Looking into the crowd I wait for the voice to come forward. It’s familiar but with the crowd who jumped up loudly the voice was lost in the crowd.
