149 - Betrayed The Love

I looked at his right leg, which was immobilized. The trousers he was wearing were torn, revealing a terrible bruise around his calf, and a lump.

“Hilbert, wait a minute. We have to treat your wounds first!” I squealed, releasing his still-tight embrace on me.

His smile was rewarded for my anxiety. His fingers reached out to my pale cheeks, then stroked gently

My heart felt like it was being squeezed by fingers full of wounded thorns. It hurts, and it aches. His words, which were carried with a genuine and light smile, made my guilt rise even higher in my chest.
