In great shock, I sided away and tried to avoid Lionel's hand.

He grabbed and ripped down my hood before I could escape. My long hair tumbled down, but luckily my veil still stayed on.

As for my hair... Well, I had dyed my blonde hair black long ago, he shouldn't be able to recognize me.

Besides, my eyes were also black with the contact-lens.

I plucked the courage to look at Lionel. Sure enough, his hand hung mid-air, shock on his face.

"Rina..." Cara whispered, tugging on my sleeve timidly.

"Sorry," Lionel said softly. "I’ve taken you for someone else. Your eyes are very alike to someone I once knew."

I grabbed my hood and put it back on, avoiding his gaze. "It's fine. Just keep your distance from me."

After that, I took Care and turned to leave.

"Wait." Lionel stopped me. "It's getting dark. We'll walk you back."

I bit my
