Chapter Thirty-One: It begins

“Come in, sir, but quickly before the guards return.”

One of the palace servants said, as he presented the guard clothes to Lucas and his assistant, who were standing outside the Zumurrut Palace.

“I have confirmed that you will be Mr. Ethan’s bodyguards.”

Lucas' breathing stopped for a few moments, before he spread a calm smile on his lips

"Good, that's what I wanted."

The servant looked at him with respect, before he led them into the palace. Lucas followed him while his servant was behind him. He was looking at the palace lobby very calmly, before a picture of Lucien stopped him.

He looked at it for a long time, before he grabbed his hand and squeezed it very hard

“I very much regret not listening to my father’s words.”

He said, closing his eyes, remembering the day the Vampire King find out the relationship between Lucian and Emelia
