Hide And Seek

Sophie’s POV

My heart pounded in my chest, my legs felt frozen, and glued to the floor that I couldn’t move. I watched as Asher screamed as his wheelchair rolled down the park. This was all because of Maxon.

I shook away these thoughts and realized that I had to save my son. I picked my legs and ran after him, calling on him, “Asher!”

He held the wheelchair, trying to stop the tires from rolling, it there was just little he could do. He couldn’t even get down from it, his legs were not functioning at all.

My heart thumped in my chest, my legs shook with fear as I ran. What if something happens to him? What if he falls off the wheelchair and hurt himself? I had to save him.

I ran with all my might, just to close the gap between us, but it seemed as thought the gap became longer and longer as I continued to run towards him.
