Sophie’s POV

I couldn’t get my mind off my kids, I wanted to be with them too, but Maxon was working and doing everything he could just to have them taken away from me.

I looked around in the room and it felt so empty, empty as the way I felt when Maxon threw me away from his life and out of the kingdom years ago, I felt so empty that I v couldn’t do anything.

I just laid there on the bed, staring right at the ceiling and wondering what the kids could be doing now, if they were having fun just like Maxon had promised them, if they were happy and excited.

I had never been away from them since I gave birth to them, I had never spent a day without them, but now I would have to spend two days without them, it was very difficult for me.

I wanted to see them, to be with them, but how could I do that?
