Chapter 41~ Three choices

“I’m helping Valentina since I didn’t have anything to do,” I reply, revelling in the feel of his arms wrapped around me.

The way his chest covers my small frame makes me feel safe...

“What if I tell you I have other plans for us? Would you be interested?”

He leans forward and begins to place soft kisses in the crook of my neck. Electric currents sizzle through me, making me shudder.

“I’m always up for a special treat from you, my love,” my words come out in a breathless whisper.

He bites and tugs at my earlobe and I blush when a low moan escapes my lips.

He takes my hands out of the bowl where I was washing some tomatoes at the sink. Grabbing a hand towel, he helps to dry my hands and holds my left hand before entwining our fingers.

“Valentina, I’m getting my mate back. You don’t have to include us for today’s lunch,” Rex says and Valentina chuckles.

“Have fun, Alpha.”

She was busy cutting the steak on the counter and marinating it before she begins to cook.
