Being full of hate and anger with other emotions that were mixing up deep within Angel’s chest. Being lost in his own emotion, his wolf took over and controlled his body without shifting in its wolf form.
“P-please…l-let…m-me…g-go…” he kept pleading to Angel while trying to break free from his grip but nothing and Angel was totally out of reach.
“S-save…me…f-rom…h-him…” he glanced over his peers and to those wolves from Angel’s pack but none of them can.
None of them could do anything to save him since they knew that once they interfere, he’ll die or all of them will. They were frustrated with mixed emotions of worry for their kind at the same time they were not because he put himself into a very tight and deadliest situation.
“SO BE IT!!!!!” he snapped and scratched Angel’s wrist that was holding his neck. It was forcing Angel to let go.
When he managed to free himself, he decided to use his dagger which was filled with silver. Angel smelled the scent of the silver and when the fourth vampire used it against him. Angel quickly dodged and could not hold the vampire anymore. It was pushing Angel to his limit.
“I will kill you then the rest of your kind.” He taunted but Angel was not affected by it but he was cautious on how to kill the vampire.
“Stop it, I don’t think the mistress will let you go with it.” the reasonable vampire told to his turning rogue peer.
“SHE’S NOT HERE! I WILL KILL HIM HERE WITH OR WITHOUT YOUR HELP!!” he shouted in the madness before laughing sinisterly.
“Shall we dance? I mean, I’ll dance above your corpse. HAHAHAHA!!!!” he was totally losing his sanity and there was no saving him anymore.
Angel might be growling while he carefully watched the vampire before him. The lunatic vampire smirked and went on dashing straight at him before vanishing. The others might gasped at how fast that vampire could be but to Angel it was nothing.
“You’re dead.” the vampire spit venom and was about to hit Angel but he didn’t.
“WHAT THE F-!” the vampire reacted when Angel suddenly vanished before him and the next thing that happened to him was being stunned.
Angel appeared behind him and snapped his fingertips that making a very strong wave that disturbed the vampire’s wave to the point of making it groan in pain. He fell onto his knees and was about to hit Angel with his dagger but he was not holding anything.
“How…” he was surprised and his eyes widened as if it was about to pop out from his face.
“If you’re like your peers with you, you won’t end up dealing with me.” Angel coldly but imperiously told him. He might say them in a cold manner but he was still raging in anger toward the vampire beneath him.
“W-what…d-do…y-you…m-mean?” he asked in his quivering voice because Angel was towering over him while his ears were bleeding and stunned on his ground.
“You are dead.” Angel said and was about to give his last sentence when his nostril smelled something.
Angel halted and began smelling the air since there was something - someone was with them. It didn’t last long when a voice echoed around them and the vampires, particularly the stunned vampire in front of Angel suddenly felt relief when that voice echoed.
“Enough.” With that familiar voice suddenly echoing around, it made Angel’s ears twitch as if he knew who owns them.
Luca and his family weren’t just surprised by the voice but they were more interested in how their alpha reacted upon hearing that voice.
“M-Mistress…s-save me…” the fourth vampire pleaded for help.
“Should I when you’re the one who provokes him?” Mira showed up from the shadow and appeared not far from Luca’s spot.
“M-mistress…” the fourth vampire still pleaded while Angel was still choking him. He was still not in control over his body.
Mira was studying the situation even though she’s been watching them ever since Angel snapped. She watched how his men will handle an alpha rogue and she didn’t like how that particular vampire provoked her beloved.
“Enough.” Mira firmly commanded her men to stand down while her eyes were burning.
‘That voice…I know them…’
But then she sighed with disappointment toward her men and turned soft when she stared at Angel’s back, she noticed that he shivered.
“Still had that effect on you even though you’re not fully in control of your body.” Mira muttered to herself while smirking from within.
“Hush now, my love and calm down. I’ll listen to your desire. So, let him go.” Mira calmly called out for Angel who shivered and tried to let go of his grip.
‘My love?’
“He…wants to kill us…” he gritted his teeth trying to fight his anger. Mira heard Angel’s real voice pass through his mind.
‘Alarick, is she…’
“Not in my watch, my love. Calm down and come here.” Mira assured him and called him again. Just hearing it, Angel quickly throws the fourth vampire to the others.
‘YAH! Alarick, she’s calling us my love…Hey! Are you listening?!’
“He wants to kill us…” Angel went to Mira while mumbling it.
‘Give me back my control, Alarick!’
‘NO!’
From that conversation inside Angel’s mind, Mira finally understood what was happening around Angel. The anger of his wolf and Angel’s worries for the safety of his small family pushed him on letting his wolf take over his human body easily.
“Hush, no one will kill your family. Nobody will take them away from you.” Mira caressed his face. Angel shivered and leaned over her touch but the anger was still burning in him.
“How can I be sure when HE THREATENED US?!” Angel snapped while pointing to the only vampire who tried to kill them.
“JUST ME?!” the fourth vampire shouted back in disbelief as he was slowly regaining his strength back.
“YES, YOU! I SMELLED YOUR DESIRE FOR BLOOD WAS TOTALLY OVER THE PEAK LIKE THOSE ROGUES I KILLED. YOU SMELLED EXACTLY LIKE THEM.” Angel roared in anger and his veins over his arms were totally looking like it was about to pop out any moment already.
“YOU’RE NOTHING LIKE YOUR COLLEAGUES AROUND US! THEIR MORE REASONABLE TO TALK WITH BUT YOU…YOU NEED TO DIE!” he went on and slowly some of his bones started to crack since he was ready to shift.
“WHY YOU! YOU’RE ALSO A ROGUE!” the fourth vampire was still not stopping while his colleague was already holding him down. He was still provoking Angel more.
None of them could keep up with what suddenly just happening but Mira likes how strong Angel was. She was admiring how much control he had inside of him from not shifting over the anger steaming out from him already. But her admiration has been cut off when a small hand held her wrist.
“That surprises me a little.” Mira thought to herself when she looked over the ten-year-old halfling wolf-witch beside her.
“Lady, please stop our alpha! Please, save our alpha!” the young girl pleaded to her. Mira shook her head since one of his men was about to pull the kid away from her. Instead, she kneeled at the kid’s eye level.
“What’s your name, kiddo?” Mira asked since she was a bit puzzled about what she was asking her.
“Elaine, the youngest daughter of Ella and Luca.” the young girl answered and Mira smiled gently.
“I’m Mira, aren’t you afraid that I could feed from you because I’m a vampire?” she tested the young girl but there was no taint of fear in her expressive hazel eyes.
“No, because if you do, you have already done it earlier before they could even start fighting.” Elaine answered directly and Mira likes the honesty in the young girl’s response but what surprised Mira was the next words that Elaine told her.
“Please, Lady if you’re Alpha’s Luna, please, stop him. Please…” Elaine started crying while pleading for her help.
Mira was about to say something when those two again went back on fighting since the provoking vampire managed to escape from his peers and charged at Angel again. Both of them went on their nonsense fight again that nobody could stop. Angel was emitting danger and death.
“They won’t get tired until one of them is dead.” Mira muttered and Elaine suddenly put her arms around Mira and cried into the crook of her neck. Elaine heard it and Mira sighed and hold the young girl in her arms more.
“Please, he can’t be stopped when he went on his rampage.” Ceil added as he went closer to their side and they looked worried for their alpha, Angel.
With curiosity kicking in Mira, she stared deeply on Angel’s eyes while he was busy doing his fight. She began on seeing some glimpses of what happened before when they were suddenly being attacked by wolf rogues around the cabin. Angel was totally looking like a monster as he killed without remorse over his pry.
“He’s a promising wolf for sure.” Mira thought to herself while smirking inside her mind. But it was being cut off when she heard one of her guards near them.
“And why do you think he’ll listen to our mistress?” the fifth vampire asked in confusion at their sudden request. Mira cut their conversation because she already knew why they were saying it.
“Enough.” Mira cut him off and meets the kid’s eyes on level before smiling.
“I understand, kiddo. But when I do help you all on getting back your Alpha, all of you will come and live in my mansion and that’s for good.”
“But, mistress…” the third vampire tried to reason with Mira but he was being stopped.
“The cabin was no longer safe for them after what they’ve gone through around here. It was our property yet, it endanger their lives here. We need to tighten our security for everyone's safety.” Mira told his men while smiling genuinely at the young pup before slightly pinching her chubby cheeks.
“Plus, there’s a storm that’s heading here later tonight.” she added which made the remaining vampire with them agreed to what their mistress reasoned with them. They knew how kind-hearted their mistress that’s why they easily agreed on it.
“We will, just help him, please.” Elaine agreed before giving her again an innocent hug that still surprised everyone.
“She seems to like you, my lady.” Ciel smiled and Mira wondered what does he mean by it.
“She never did that to anyone aside from us. She embraced you twice in one day that’s new to us.” he cleared since Elaine was holding her tightly which she gladly returned again while smiling.
“Okay, kiddo, let me handle your alpha.” she smiled assuringly to the kid.
“Yes, Luna.” Elaine nodded and hug her waist for one last time before pulling off. Mira slightly ruffled her hair when she heard what the kid called her.
“How I wish to be your luna soon, Angel…” she muttered to herself before she turned her attention to Angel’s temper.
“...but for now…” she walked toward Angel who was dealing with the same vampire again.
“...let’s take you home, my beloved.” Mira whispered to herself as she approached them and her real eyes began to show up and turned glowing mauve.
Mira was releasing something that caught the attention of her remaining men which made them go into a certain spot while the two were still on their nonsense battle. But when the vampire who was fighting Angel smirked at him, it irritates Angel more. He growled and moved very fast and quickly grabbed his neck. He held it tightly before slamming his both to the ground and throwing him like trash toward his peers.
“YOU’LL PAY FOR THAT!” the vampire spits blood and was about to charge on him again but his peers pinned him down. Again.
“LET ME GO! HE’S GOING TO PAY FOR THAT!” he tried to wiggle out from their grip but he couldn’t they were much stronger than him.
“Sleep.” the third and the most reasonable among them said before punching him really hard in the face. Just like that, the turning vampire nomad was now asleep but they were still not letting him go.
“He’s really asking for his death.” the first vampire spoke while shaking his head.
“Indeed.” they all agreed.
On the other hand, Angel stopped approaching them when the other vampire that he was dealing with has been put to sleep. But something was suddenly wrapped around his body that he couldn’t tell what it was but it was preventing him from moving on his spot. “The fuck.” Angel muttered with gritted teeth since the magical power that was wrapping around his body was coming from the only vampire with them. He turned to meet Mira. He was totally angry and tried his best to move from his spot while growling deeply. He doesn’t care about the pain that it was giving to his body. He was bleeding from fighting it back and he was not backing down. Until something hit his head from within. ‘ALARICK, ENOUGH!’ ‘NO!’ ‘THEN ARE YOU
Mira was amused by the vibe that Ciel and Sedrick were having as they walked ahead of them. But what surprised her was the gesture that Sedrick did to the young teenager halfling beside him. “And he was the first wolf rogue that Sedrick messed up the hair in amusement. He likes him.” She noticed the sudden gesture that Sedrick only does to his daughter. ‘Well, I just want to know my environment so, I could move freely in time around.’ ‘Hm, interesting thought.’ Mira noticed the side glance that Sedrick sent to her and she knew that he wanted to speak to her about something. ‘Mistress, this boy reminded me about my own daughter…’
Mira turned to her servants once again, particularly to the certain vampire who was kneeling before her. “Before you judge others, look at yourself and what I’ve given to you, use them for good since not everyone in our kind was like me. They were only a few of them.” She turned to them and reminded them calmly what kind of vampire they are. “Yes, my lady. I sincerely, apologized, my lady but I hope you understand where we also came from to act like that.” the same servant respectfully bowed her head and Mira kneeled while still carrying Elaine in her arms. “I know and be thankful for this child on reminding me that I’m different from my kind also…” She lift her chin with her free hand and smiled genuinely at her when she recalled Angel’s presence behind her.
Angel was caught off guard by it and couldn’t say anything for a split second there. He just released a heavy sigh before dropping the topic. “Thanks, Andriel. We appreciate it.” Angel just dropped the subject and thanked her for what she showed them. “Way to go to dodge the bullet. Anyway, I’ll knock later since I have to show you where the office was located.” Andriel leave it be in understanding and informed what her mistress told her earlier. “No need…like your mistress said, I could find her, and I would like to try that theory.” Angel shook his head and assured on testing Mira’s theory regarding him finding her whereabouts. “I’m starting to like you for our mistress than to that nomad. Anyway, rest well, Alpha.” Andriel smiled genuinely as she ad
“So, can you tell me what’s gotten into you?” Mira asked in her serious voice but caring which tickles Angel’s heart. ‘Don’t lie to her. Be honest as you’re not ready yet to love her.’ “Not ready?” Mira wondered to herself when she heard Angel’s wolf speak to him. “Scent on your room.” Angel answered as he ignored what his wolf was telling him. As he also tried to get up from leaning too much to Mira’s comfort. But even though Angel was regaining his strength, it was still not at full capacity made Mira to assisted him to sit on the couch not far from the window. “Well, it's not been used ever since I came back here.” Mira smiled sadly as she looked around her old room. Angel sensed something about how Mira speak of her past and he doesn’t want to pry about it. It seems sensitive
“Still scared…” Mira sighed mentally as sensed fear from Angel and then she lean away to meet his gaze. “What is it?” Angel noticed and was puzzled a little. ‘You’re making her worried.’ ‘That’s why I am asking.’ Mira just smiled and didn’t utter any words but she was staring deeply into Angel’s deep and dark hazel orbs before sighing. Angel tilted his head to the side while looking back at Mira’s sad gaze. “Mira, what’s wrong? Why look sad?” Angel carefully asked with his gentle tone that made Mira’s heart to be soft. “Did I look sad?” Mira sadly smiled as she asked him. “I won’t be asking if you
As if nothing really happened when Mira covered her ears with headphones as soon as she got inside to her office. She had to use it again to block the noises outside due to the rain that was still pouring since it was starting to irritate her very sensitive hearing to the core. “There should be silence already because Angel was around me but…argh…” Mira groaned as she slouched her back on her chair. She was taking her time to relax since she was already swimming with paper works already. “I don’t understand…earlier there was a pure silence that I’m longing for, but now, I don’t understand why it's gone again?” she wondered before she pinched the bridge of her nose to ease the building pain on her head from thinking too much already. As Mira was preoccupied with her thoughts and paper
Angel was totally speechless about what he just heard from Mira. He knew he could hear them from others but when it came from Mira, it was totally something full of meaning and sincerity that he wanted to keep for the rest of his life. “That’s a nice thing to hear from you…” Angel only could say what positive words Mira said to him. Mira smiled. “You deserve it.” Mira genuinely smiled at him and Angel’s tear escaped from his left eye. Mira wiped them away again and pinched his cheek a little before letting go. Angel’s heart was totally feeling warm and it was because of Mira. “You…there’s something about you, Mira that makes me believe that I am deserving of something great in this life…thank you.” He suddenly blurted that caught Mira off guard and blushed.
