Chapter 44: And the end for the arrogant

Gray's face showed no emotion; he looked at Roger nonchalantly and spoke. "I'm not in the habit of shaking hands with strangers."

I stared blankly into Gray's emerald green eyes; I didn't dare think he was the same as the man who had awakened me formerly. Even though I knew it was just a play, at least then I saw in Gray joy and tenderness. Did power change him?

"Ha," Roger smiled faintly, his eyes colding, then turned to the only man left. "You won't make me lose face, will you?"

Alfine has always acted differently from the rest of his family. He went up and took Roger's hand. "Hi."
