Chapter 6: Falling into a trap

Ryan is increasingly pressing on me. In the dark, I can still clearly feel his fiery eyes never leaving me.

Suddenly Ryan pressed me against the wall, his hands on either side to stop me from moving, forcing me to face him.

His hot breath brushed against my neck as he spoke. "Look at me, I don't like my mate hiding, and she's a coward."

“Alpha Ryan, I think you are mistaken.” I opened my mouth with difficulty; I heard my voice trembling. "I'm not your mate; we don't match."

Ryan doesn't answer me quickly, his brow furrowed with interest. “How do you know I'm joking? Are you too cynical?”

For some reason, maybe I'm sensitive, but after I heard that statement, I felt very uncomfortable. Just a few days ago, Gray just tricked me and made fun of everyone. Then today, Ryan continues to joke with me; he sees me as a stupid girl. And it seems that everywhere I see the same people, they constantly see me as their toy.
