Grabbing the door knob, Rico inhaled deeply and walked out of his office, he had rehearsed his apology speech and was ready to talk to her. Since their fight, he’d been maintaining a distance between them despite how hard it was for him.
“Tiana?” He called, stopping at her desk. He suppressed the growl that tore out of his throat when she smiled politely at him then turned her attention to the computer in front of her.
She still gave him the silent treatment even after five days. She either gave him mechanical answers or pretended to be busy whenever he walked out of his office or the elevator. He stomped back to his office and banged the door for good measure. His life was getting inside out and he was only a step away from losing his sanity. Max only resumed talking to him yesterday and by the moon that was pure torture.
