Birthday Cake
We head back to the party, hand in hand. My heart feels so full, and I’ve never been so happy. I look at him and catch him looking at me. I take a deep breath and squeeze his hand; I know all eyes are going to be on us.
“Little wolf, are you okay?”
“I’ll be fine, just getting used to all eyes being on me.”
He laughs, “at least we’ll be by each other’s side.”
I slow my breathing. He knows how to calm me, be my peace and bring me back. I grab his arm, still holding his hand—I look in his eyes and before I have the chance, he kisses me deeply, like he read my mind.

I wake up in Wyatt’s arms, last night was incredible before falling asleep on him. I remember sleep keeping me from having to talk about everything right then, thankfully. I had to figure out what I was able to share with him, and what I couldn’t, an unfinished truth? I’ll be able to tell him everything once I speak more with Sirena.
