I watched in surprise and speechlessness as she covered my body with the duvet. She had been careful when she placed me on the bed. It was clear she wanted to avoid hurting me a bit. I had bruises and cuts all over my body from the tortures the demon guards inflicted on me, and she did well to avoid meddling with them all.

I stretched out my hand and caught hold of her palm, which was so soft and tender. I felt a spark as it locked with my hand.It felt so good to hold her hand, but just as she turned to me, I took off my hand and made a deep groan, struggling to sit up.

"For now, have a good sleep! Hey, lay back and don't stress yourself trying to get up. I would prefer not to hear anything from you. All I want is for you to rest and begin your work later.
