Chapter 29. SURPRISE

ATHENA'S POV

“Are you sure this is necessary?” I tried to keep my hair straight, getting my hair blow-dried. “You could have easily done that in the pack house. What was the need of coming here?” We really did not have to come to the salon for this. I understand it was my Moonday, but we didn't need a full makeover for that. I would have done a good job myself at the pack house if I had been provided with some makeup and whatever stuff this lady was using on my hair.

“Of course it is! I'm not settling for anything less for my soon-to-be-luna,” Valerie chirped. Really, where did the girl even have this much money to book this appointment for me?

“OK, but we are going home after this.”

“Uh, uh, not happening.”

“What do you mean?”

“We are going shopping after this,” I hissed at the slight tug I felt when the hairstylist rolled my hair. “Sorry,” she quickly mumbled.
