Everything hurt.

Why was the world so bright? Was the sun doing overtime?

The bed was squishy but the sheets were crisp, unlike my soft linen ones. Where was I?

My throat felt dry. I was starving. But the thought of eating made me gag.

I refused to open my eyes which seemed to be sealed shut. What had happened? I had a splitting headache which made me groan.

“When you know it hurts, why inflict it upon yourself willingly?”

An unfamiliar female voice sounded, making me open my eyes quickly, only to shut them up just as fast due to the light.

Where was I?

I ransacked my brain for any information I could get about my whereabouts. I remembered seeing Xavier with Claire and crying over it.

I remembered calling Maisie and her taking me to a bar to get drunk. I was so drunk. It blanked after that.

“If you are done trying to remember last night, I suggest waking up properly first.”

I reopened my eyes.
