Chapter Twenty-Four

Zaine’s POV

“Alpha. The Luna is awake.” Torrin’s voice echoes in my head. I have only made it about half way to the southern border but my wolf puts on his breaks and all four paws dig into the dirt as we come skidding to a halt.

“Is she okay?” I ask. I know I should be with her after what happened. I hurt her then left. I was hoping she would sleep long enough for me to at least deal with one of the two threats hanging over our head.

My wolf wants to hunt. He reasons that the blue fuck hiding in the forest means she can never be completely safe on our land. The guards and Torrin have despatched his rogues within minutes of them crossing the border, but now that Sophia has her wolf Blue Blade is only going to step up his campaign. That is what I would do in his shoes.

I want to kill him too. I want to see him laying at my wolf’s feet in a mangled and tattered mess. Not only for Sophia, although she is now the force that drives me, but for the men and women we have lost to this previo
