Rejecting Luna

Cora just came home, after she finished her task at the Blood Moon Housepack. She heard a female voice from the guest room that was so familiar to her. A few moments later, the male and female sighs can be heard.

She immediately opened the door to the room with no hesitation. This time her body felt stiff and her heart was beating wildly. Her eyes widened to see what was happening in front of her. Someone she trusted had betrayed her.

Dave, her husband was having intimate time with Mia, a lowly omega who was a maid in their house.  It was obvious because not a single piece of clothing was left on either of their bodies.

After a while, Cora took a breath to regain her composure.

"Dave, how could you! Are you crazy?" Cora shouted.

Mia immediately covered herself with a blanket while Dave pulled his pants back on and walked over to Cora.

"How come you’re already home!" Dave said.

"Why, you're surprised when I'm home! You didn't think I'd catch you doing this." Cora said as she looked up at Dave.

Dave squinted his eyes at Cora and tried to answer, but she burst into tears.

"How could that lowly omega have an affair with my husband?" ask Cora aloud.

"Shut your mouth! And don't talk nonsense about Mia." Dave said, his face flushed with emotion.

"Dave! She's a whore. How could you have an affair with a lowly bitch like her? I thought your taste was higher than that." Cora scoffed.

Hearing what she said, Dave was very offended and immediately became angry. He slapped Cora on the cheek.

"Damn it! Mia isn't a lowly Omega. She's at least more useful than you," Dave said with a look full of emotion in his eyes.

Cora didn't expect that during her marriage with Dave, this was the first time Dave had been rude to her.

Meanwhile, Mia smiled happily at Dave's reaction when he had been rude to Cora. Now the atmosphere between them became heated.

Cora held her cheek. The pain of her husband's slap was nothing compared to the pain of seeing Dave now defending Mia.

“I worked on your responsibilities all day in the house pack, while you and that lowly omega had fun behind my back!” Cora snapped as she punched Dave. Dave grabbed Cora's arm.

"You were too busy working in the house-pack and forgot your main task, to provide me with an heir while Mia is already pregnant with my child. So she must be more useful than you," said Dave angrily.

Cora stared at both Dave and Mia. How could Mia be pregnant with the child of her husband? It meant that Mia and Dave had been having an affair behind her back for a long time.

"She is carrying your child? So you've been doing this behind my back for a long time, so this isn't the first time you've cheated on me right?" Cora asked angrily.

"Of course, I spent time with her when you weren't around. I'm tired and bored of waiting for you to get pregnant, and I need an heir for this pack." Dave replied casually and without guilt.

Dave turned his face away from Cora for a moment. He looked at Mia and signaled her to go to the bathroom and make room for them to talk privately.

"Do you not appreciate my loyalty, my love, and my efforts to do my best for our packs, it should be your duty, not mine!" Cora said while crying.

Every day after she finished tending to Dave's needs, Cora rushes to the Housepack. It’s about half an hour away from their home. She checks in on the performance of the staff at the farm and the medicinal plant garden. In addition, Cora occasionally trains the pack’s cubs preparing them to become strong members of the Blood Moon Pack in the future.

She did all the activities that should be Dave's job as Alpha because Cora wanted to prove she was a good Luna for the Blood Moon packs. Cora never talked Dave will forget Cora's sacrifices for him.

Dave held his chin with one arm. It showed that he was thinking about the decision he was going to make this time.

"I'm sorry, Cora. but I can't keep you anymore."

"What do you mean Dave?" Cora asked with a surprised look on her face.

Dave took a deep breath and said, "I will reject you!”

Cora was surprised to hear what Dave said. She didn’t expect Dave would reject her.

"I'm Dave, Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack will reject you, Cora Georgia as my partner and my Luna!" Dave said, ignoring the shock on Cora's face.

Cora clutched her chest tightly. She feels immeasurable pain in her chest. The pain that comes with rejection. There was no point in begging. The man was very stubborn. Once he decided something, it’s hard for Dave to change it.

"Fine, I'll accept it!"  Cora said as she removed the wedding ring from her ring finger and threw it to Dave.

She was tired of this loveless marriage. If Dave wanted to end it, there was no point in keeping it because it would be pointless. Dave had changed and was no longer the same.

Then Cora said again, “I'm Cora Georgia, Luna of the Blood Moon Pack will accept the rejection of Dave Moseley Alpha of Blood Moon Pack! So from now, there is no more bond as a mate between you and me.”

Cora felt the pain that spread throughout her body. Their mate bond had violently broken, and Cora feel the sensation of skin seemingly torn apart.

"Now get your things and get out of here! I don't want to see you anymore," said Dave aloud.

Cora was also very weak from the rejection. She tried to get up and staggered to her room to pack her things. Who knows where Cora will go with the money she has, Dave never gives her money, and all the money she gets from the house pack goes directly into Dave's bank account. Maybe Cora will find a cheap place to live and get a job.

Cora goes downstairs and stops in the living room. She looks at her wedding photo with Dave.

"Dave, I'm happy to be married and to be your Luna. But why did you have to destroy my happiness?" She mumbles to herself.

After Dave and Cora finished talking, Mia came out of the bathroom and said, "Good for you honey, it should have happened a long time ago."

"I was just looking for the right time, Mia," Dave said with a smile. Then they continued their intimate act one more time to celebrate the rejection.

Cora had nowhere to go because her parents were dead, so Cora had to find a place to start her new life as a rogue. The woman walked through the city streets at night with her suitcase. Her eyes were blank, her steps were weak, and her tears kept falling.
