CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

Damon was stomping around inside the room, restless as he awaited the doctor. He didn't take his gaze away from Elevena, whose complexion was turning pale.

As words came out of his mouth, he closed his eyes and rested his back against the wall behind him "I should not have taken you there in the first place. I should have known Patricia's was out to kill you, but I was paranoid and self-centered."

He blamed himself for Elevena's current situation. He was so focused on achieving his goal that he didn't give a damn about Elevena.

He ignored the fact that she isn't a powerful super being like him and dragged her to places he shouldn't have. With a painful sigh, he opened his eyes and walked towards the bed, his gaze fixed on a single figure.

As he approached the bed, he croached down on his knees and placed his head on the bed beside her, murmuring, "What did you do to me? I've never been this frail, so why now? I pretend to despise you in order to keep you away from
