Irene's POV

"I want you to teach me how to swim" I was taken aback by Clifford's words, why would he take me out to the river just to teach him how to swim. I felt very uneasy, knowing that I would have to walk down to the river just to teach a man how to swim, I even thought that we were going to have fun, maybe talk, pluck fruits just like old times.

"You must be joking right" I stuttered, staring at the seriousness on his face, I needed no soothsayer to tell me that he wasn't joking.

"I mean my words, except you're a wannabe and you would agree to the fact that you can't swim" He insulted one of the acts that made me happy, he knew that and he used that as a tool to get to me. So naive and rude.

"Oh I can swim" I retorted.

"Then how about you teach me?"

"What do I gain in giving you lessons about swimming?"I sighed, wondering why he was the only one gaining on this journey that we're about embarking on.
