IRENE'S POV

I was glad when Paul walked out because the king's guards was asked to pass a message to him.

"What would they be planning?"

"I guess you have less than 24 hours to get yourself prepared and that's because the ritual items are still pending, so they would be arriving today and we would make them sacred before using them on you so that you don't turn into a monster and not a werewolf" Paul announced as he had his eyes fixed on me, I was wondering why he looked at me in a manner that seemed that he was interested in me, I couldn't see myself having any feelings for Paul.

"Why are you staring at me?" I asked, staring into his eyes, I was a bit pissed at the way he was staring at me, feeling like he could eat me right there.

"Just imagining how you would look on the day when your life takes a heavy drift and it might make you or mar you" he uttered licking his lips, his words had me amused to some point.

"Don't put it that way, I'll accept whatever fate tomorrow brings to me"
