Chapter 1

Ellie's POV

Stepping out of the car, I was almost swallowed up in the surging crowd. The reporters rushed me trying to get my attention with their questions. I became a star overnight. I wore a lotus leaf-off shoulder which made me look so elegant. I gave out my best smile to the paparazzi.

"How do you feel when you win the Miss Wolf World". A reporter asked. I walked past her with my bodyguards beside me, trying to make way and prevent fans from mobbing me. That was the order from my manager "Don't give a reply to any reporter's questions".

"We heard that top suitors are rooting for you. What is your take about it and how do you feel about it, Miss Ellie". I grinned at his questions while I made my way into the building.

"You should wait here. I would love to have an alone time with her." I said to my bodyguards as I entered the elevator. I breathed a sigh of relief as the elevator door closed. I can't believe this. Being a celebrity is hard and fun. Yeah, I am a celebrity. I'm now a celebrity. A Star!

I've always been waiting for this day, this moment that I almost gave up on.

"The winner of the Miss Wolf World International, Ellie George". Those words! Those sentences made me. The words re-echoed to my ears. The greatest moment of my life! A day I will never forget. The unforgettable moment! I felt on top of the world. I fulfilled my parents' dream, my dream. I didn't disappoint them nor did I disappoint myself. An ordinary Ellie George has become a lady single wealthy suitors are rooting for.

Since I have been announced as the Winner, my best friend and manager, Hassie, has been receiving calls from Alphas, Beta and rich suitors. I've become an instant candidate but none interest me. I've been receiving calls for endorsements, modeling and fashion. A fashionista!

The door opened at the top floor and I made my way out of the elevator. The chatter can inexplicably be heard lurking in the background throughout the building. In minutes I found myself standing before Hassie's door. I twisted the doorknob and made my entrance to the office. Before me sat a disheveled lady in her twenties. Her hair looks rough and unkempt with bags under her eyes.

"Didn't you sleep?" I dropped my bag hurriedly and walked towards her.

"I slept in the office". She said staring sleepily at me.

"You should get some sleep then".

"There's so much to do. Being a manager ain't easy Ellie". She grumbled.

"Have you eaten?"

"Yes I have. You know, I don't joke with food. Wow you look good, Hassie". She complimented, I blushed and twirled around, in front of her while she laughed out loud.

"You've sacrificed so much for this. You deserve it".

"And you deserve to sleep".

"There's so much you have to do. Companies are ready to work with you. Your signatures are needed and presence."

"Ahh yes I know. Get some rest, Hassie". I insisted. She is a workaholic.

The telephone rang out loud which distracted our arguments. I looked at her with a frowny face. "When you're done picking that. Go get some sleep". I said warningly. She chuckled at my words and picked up the phone.

"Yes, it's Hassie on the line". She said professionally while I stared admiringly at her. She is so cool. Even with her stupid looks.

Her face lit up and she turned towards me, handing the phone to me. I raised my eyebrows at her in confusion while she urged me to collect the phone from her. I collected it and placed it on my ear.

"Hello, who's this?"

"Hi, Ellie!" The husky voice said on the other line.

"Please who are you?" Even though the voice sounds familiar, I can't  remember where I heard it.

Silence ensued for a while before his voice came up again. "I'm Alpha Brian". My heart skips, I couldn't believe my ears. How? Brian? He has always been my longtime crush who took me for nothing. He has made me face embarrassment and has made it clear to me that I'm not his type. Now, he is calling me. Alpha Brian is the Alpha of our pack, the southern crescent pack. I'm really thrilled and honored to receive a call from him.

I glanced over at Hassie. She urged me to speak and kept grinning at me. It seems like a dream come true. "Are you still there?"

"Yes, I am". I replied softly. "Why do I deserve to be called by the Alpha? Is there any problem?"

"Drop the formalities, we were schoolmates". He said, chuckling. Yes, we were classmates but he never acknowledged me as one. He always ignored me and made me face embarrassment. I remembered the day I confessed my feelings to me. They made a joke out of me but that didn't change my feelings for me. Instead, it made me love him more. More than before.

"How have you been doing?" He asked.

"I've been good".

"Congratulations on your title. I was thrilled to know that my long time classmate earned the honored title". Oh….Was that what the call is about? To congratulate me?

"Thank you so much". I sighed disappointedly.

"Can we meet, Ellie". He said. I jerked up from the chair and widened my eyes.

"We should meet?" I asked.

"Yes, I want us to discuss something. You don't have to worry about the distance. I will cover the expenses". He said more like in a pleading tone.

"Hmm.. no problem. I can't turn down my Alpha's request, Can I?" I chuckled lightly.

"Thanks". He said, sighing silently. I felt him releasing the breath he never knew he was holding.

"I will send you my private car to come pick you up. And please, I want your personal number".

"No problem. I will send it to you". He hung up the call immediately.

"What did he say?" Hassie asked curiously.

"He wants us to meet up".

"Oh My God Ellie. I'm happy for you". She squealed, hugging me tightly. I laughed out in excitement.

It's true, it's real. My heart sank in excitement and I screamed out excitedly.

Brian wants to see me. He seeks my presence. This is definitely an Unforgettable Moment.
