Chapter 24
“Auri! Are you in heat?” Logan asked again.
I couldn’t answer him. I didn’t know what he was talking about. All I knew is I was on fire. I heard him curse again and he started to take off his jacket and then his shirt. My cheek rested against his bare chest and it was like I was leaning against a piece of ice. A sigh escaped me as I placed my hands on his abs, feeling the coolness of his skin. Logan picked me up and carried me through the forest.
“Hold on, Auri. You’ll be alright.” A calm washed over me, helped me breathe as Logan kissed my head.
Logan opened up the kitchen door and slammed it shut with his foot. He carried me up to our room. Placing me on the bed, he pulled away and I screwed my eyes shut as the fire came back.
“Hold on, my love. You chose a hell of a night.” He mumbled and I heard slamming of drawers and the bathwater running.
